i find it a little or a lot condescending, depending on my mood, but if i pick through the excess words the core of it helps anyway. today, for example, i had forgotten the following, and i know as soon as i do this it will help:
Be nice to your body, and try to do "replace" the unpleasant pain with some pleasant alternative sensations, like good smells and pleasurable textures.
